The Arizona Fall League is in full swing. Let’s take a look at some players who have been turning heads.

andrewsusacAndrew Susac – Catcher – San Francisco Giants

Andrew Susac currently leads the Arizona Fall League in hitting with a .440 Batting Average through 9 games played. In addition to a Home Run and 4  RBI’s, the catching prospect has drawn 10 walks in 35 plate appearances. Susac has Autograph Cards in 2012 Bowman Chrome, 2012 Bowman Platinum,  and 2011 Elite among others.

jorge alfaroJorge Alfaro – Catcher – Texas Rangers

Another hot hitting young catcher in the Arizona Fall League is Texas Rangers prospect Jorge Alfaro. The 20 year old is off to a .432 start through his first 10 games.  The native of Columbia has hit 3 Doubles, a Triple, has accounted for 8 RBI’s and 2 Stolen Bases. Kris BryantKris Bryant – 3B – Chicago Cubs

BEASTMODE is about the only word you can use to describe the Arizona Fall Leauge start that Kris Bryant has had. The 2013 First Round Pick is hitting .429 which sets him 3rd in the Arizona Fall League through 10 games. Bryant’s power numbers have been off the charts with 6 Doubles, a Triple, 4 Home Runs and 14 RBI’s. If he mashes like this during Spring Training it may be tough for the Cubs to ignore. alexmeyerAlex Meyer – RHP – Minnesota Twins

After an injury plagued 2013 season that limited him to just 78.1 innings during the 2013 minor league season, Alex Meyer has been back in a big way in the Arizona Fall League. The 6’9″ righthander is off to a 2-0 start with a 2.90 ERA. In his 12.1 innings this fall, Meyer has walked three batters and struck out twelve. mattpurkeMatt Purke – LHP – Washington Nationals

Speaking of pitchers coming off of injury, Matt Purke is working his way back to full strength after Tommy John surgery ended his 2012 season after 15 innings on the mound. Purke has built on a solid second half of 2013 by being one of the best pitchers the Arizona Fall League has had to offer. Purke has yet to allow an earned run and has allowed just 3 hits to opposing batters in 12 innings pitched this fall. He has struck out 12 batters and 0.50 WHIP. Purke who went 21-1 in his college career at TCU has Team USA Autographs from both Upper Deck and Panini as well as a 2012 Bowman Chrome Autograph among others.
